Our standards for accuracy, moderation, dispute handling, and editorial independence.
Scam.SG is committed to publishing accurate data. Where errors are identified in any profile or publication, corrections are issued within five business days. A dated correction notice is added to the relevant profile or publication page and remains permanently visible.
Any entity may contest data published on its Scam.SG profile by contacting the Scam.SG team with supporting evidence. Disputes are acknowledged within two business days. Resolution is completed within ten business days of receipt of sufficient supporting documentation. Where a dispute is upheld, the relevant data is corrected and a correction note added to the profile. Where a dispute is not upheld, the entity is notified with reasons.
All community reports submitted via Scam.SG are reviewed by the moderation team before publication. Reports that do not meet submission guidelines are not published. Published reports subsequently disputed by the named entity are flagged on the profile. Reports removed from public view are archived offline — not deleted — and an audit trail is maintained.
All Scam.SG publications carry: date of publication, a named list of data sources used, the standard platform disclaimer, and a permanent archive URL that does not change after publication. No Scam.SG publication claims to be an official, government-endorsed, or regulatory determination.
Editorial decisions — including what data to publish, how to present findings, when to issue corrections, and what community reports to publish — are made independently of any commercial relationship. Verified, paying, or claimed entities receive no preferential editorial treatment.
