3 New Features Are Live on Scam.SG

We have been listening to business owners and community members about where Scam.SG could be easier to use. Three of the most requested improvements are now ready: stronger support for trusted business information, clearer reporting navigation and a faster way to claim a business profile.

Feature 01: Myinfo Business integration approved

Scam.SG has received approval to integrate Myinfo Business into our business claim journey. This is an important milestone because it allows us to build a more secure and reliable way for eligible business owners and authorised representatives to provide company information.

With Myinfo Business, an authorised user can consent to the retrieval of relevant corporate and applicant data from government sources. Singpass authenticates the individual, while Corppass helps establish that the person is authorised to transact for the selected entity.

Approval of the integration also reflects the safeguards built into the journey. Scam.SG does not receive a user's Singpass credentials. Users review the requested information and decide whether to consent before any data is shared for the business claim.

Feature 02: One clear place to contribute

Reporting something should not require you to search through several menus first. We have reorganised the navigation so every way of sharing information with Scam.SG now sits under one Contribute menu.

Choose the option that best matches what happened:

• Report a scam: you were targeted or lost money, and want it on record.
• Submit a review: you dealt with a business and want to share how it went.
• Flag a Business: something about a listed business looks wrong.
• Report Suspicious Activity: nothing has happened yet, but the behaviour does not sit right with you.

If you are not sure which one fits, pick the closest match. Our team routes reports internally, so nothing gets lost for being filed under the “wrong” option.

The rest of the menu is simpler too. Search Company and TrustScore now sit as their own links instead of being buried in a dropdown, and reference material such as the whitelist, watchlist, scam statistics and publications has moved under Resources.

Feature 03: Myinfo Business makes claims simpler

The approved Myinfo Business integration gives eligible owners and authorised representatives a much simpler way to claim a Scam.SG business profile. Instead of repeatedly entering company details or preparing multiple documents, applicants can retrieve relevant information through a guided digital journey.

For an eligible applicant with the necessary Singpass and Corppass access, the process is straightforward:

• start the claim and choose the Myinfo Business option;
• authenticate through the official Singpass journey as a Corppass user;
• review the business information requested for the claim;
• provide consent and submit the claim, usually in under two minutes; and
• wait for Scam.SG to review the submission and provide an update.

This reduces repetitive form filling, common data-entry errors and the need to upload supporting documents for many eligible claims. It also gives Scam.SG a clearer, more reliable starting point for its review.

Completing a claim does not guarantee approval, verification, certification or a particular TrustScore. Every submission still goes through Scam.SG's review process. A manual claim option also remains available for applicants who cannot use Myinfo Business.
